    How do I sign up my childcare center?

    • A:

      If you are the designated center administrator, you can sign up your center for the free Bronze account plan at www.SkyChildCare.com. Enter your center’s information, validate your personal identity for security purposes, and configure your banking information to collect tuition electronically. After completing the signup information, SkyChildCare is ready to be used to manage your day care center.

    What type of plans do you offer?

    • A:

      We offer three subscription plans: Bronze, Silver and Gold. The Bronze plan is our base free subscription plan. It contains the core features for family management and billing. The Silver plan is a monthly paid subscription plan. In addition to the core features in our Bronze plan, the Silver plan adds staff management features. The Gold plan is our premier subscription plan. You receive all of the features in the Bronze and Silver plans with the addition of reporting and text/calling features for mass communication to parents.

  • Q:

    Will signing up for SkyChildCare lock me into a long-term contract?

    • A:

      We hate contracts as much as you do! The free Bronze plan, is just that -- free. The Silver and Gold plan have a pay as you go monthly fee. You can upgrade, downgrade or simply quit at any time. There is no commitment to using SkyChildCare, so why not sign up for the free Bronze plan today?

    Can I change my subscription plan?

    • A:

      Yes. You can choose to upgrade, downgrade or cancel your subscription plan any time in the Center Settings page of SkyChildCare.

  • Q:

    I run a home based day care. Will SkyChildCare work for me?

    • A:

      Yes. The free Bronze plan contains the features that are ideal for your home day care center, including collecting tuition through credit cards and checking account debits.

  • Q:

    Does SkyChildCare limit my account to a certain number of users? Will I be able to let my whole center to use the application?

    • A:

      There is no limit to the number of users or children. The free Bronze is designed for home day centers without staff. If you have staff members, the Silver or Gold plan is a better option for your center, so that you can schedule your staff.

  • Q:

    Are there any hidden fees with my subscription plan rate? Is the Bronze Plan free?

    • A:

      No sneaky hidden fees anywhere and the Bronze plan really is free. Collecting tuition electronically incurs a standard merchant fee that is comparable to any bank fee.

    Do you offer some kind of cool bonus if I get a gold account?

    • A:

      You mean other than our undying love and affection? Give us a shout at @SkyChildCare and we’ll come up with a way to welcome you to the SkyChildCare community!

    I am not a rocket scientist. Do I need help in installing SkyChildCare?

    • A:

      You don’t have to be a rocket scientist. We’ll let you do what you do best -- provide great care to the children in your charge. All you need is a recent computer, and a modern browser (like Safari, Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer 11). Point your browser to www.SkyChildCare.com and off you go.     Is setting up my center complicated?

    • A:

  • Q:

    What are the standard bank fees for ACH and credit card transactions?

    • A:

      Our banking transaction fees are competitive and easy to understand: 29¢ on ACH transactions, 2.5% on Visa or MasterCard transactions and 3.2% on American Express transactions. That’s it. No other banking fees are applied on tuition collection.

    How do I renew my center's subscription?

    • A:

      Subscriptions are renewed automatically.

  • Q:

    Do you offer a volume discount on my subscription plan if I have multiple child care centers?

      We only offer monthly plans at this time.

  • Q:

    What happens if my credit card used for my subscription plan is declined or expired?

    • A:

      SkyChildCare will notify you via email and urgent message. If you don't resolve the card issue, your plan will be automatically downgraded to Bronze.

  • Q:

    Will I be charged a late fee if there is an issue with my credit card used for my subscription plan?

    • A:

      We do not charge a late fee, but your plan will be downgraded to the Bronze plan until your credit card issues are resolved.

  • Q:

    Will I get a refund if I downgrade my plan from a higher priced one to a lower priced one in the middle of the month?

    • A:

      No, we do not offer partial refunds for subscription plans.

  • Q:

    What types of credit cards are accepted by SkyChildCare Subscription plan?.

    • A:

      We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

  • Q:

    Will I get a prorated price if I choose to upgrade my plan in the middle of the month?

    • A:

      No, you will be charged the full subscription price, but your renewal date will change to the date you upgraded your plan.

    How do I update my credit card on file for my subscription plan?

    When does my subscription expire?

    • A:

      Your subscription plan does not expire. It is automatically renewed on the anniversary date each month until you cancel it.

    What are the core features in SkyChildCare?

    • A:

      The core features of SkyChildCare are designed to help you manage your center and save time. These are highlighted below.

      Enrollment: Maintain an enrollment queue of prospective children, schedule tours, instantly check for available spots, and easily move children from a wait list to a class.

      Classes: Maintain a class roster, staff list, tuition rates, and keep an eye on staff-to-student ratios. Easily drag and drop students from one class to another to maximize your day care capacity.

      Check In/Out: Check in and out students and staff, perform roll call and generate reports for students, staff, payroll, and center.

      Collect Tuition Electronically: Maximize your cash flow by collecting tuition via eChecks (ACH debits) or via credit card transactions. Tuition is deposited to your account within a few days and you can generate financial reports for the center as well as email end-of-year tax-related day care expense forms to parents.

      Dashboards: Reminders, notifications and enrollment and staffing metrics are combined into a single screen.

  • Q:

    Do I have to link my center to my Facebook or Google+ account?

    • A:

      You do not need a Facebook or Google+ account to use SkyChildCare. We offer the option to link your login to your social media account to save you from having to remember one more user name and password. Linking to Facebook or Google+ allows SkyChildCare to send urgent notifications to you through their notification service.

  • Q:

    How does the automatic tuition collection work?

    • A:

      You can collect tuition through ACH (eCheck Debits) or credit card transactions at the time of enrollment or when checking out a child for drop in day cares. Receipts are mailed to the parents and you avoid third party fees, trips to the bank and reduce security issues that arise when collecting cash or live checks. We use bank grade security to ensure that the tuition is deposited into your center’s bank account within a day or two.

  • Q:

    With all of the security breach issues in the news, how do I know that my personal information and that of my clients will be safe?

    • A:

      Your data and financial transactions are safe and secure with SkyChildCare. We continuously back up your data and provide bank grade security to your financial transactions. We use the same technology as banks, governments and the US military to protect your information and prevent unauthorized access. Best of all, you don’t have to worry about hackers; we do that for you.

  • Q:

    What happens to my information if I decide to stop using Sky Childcare?

    • A:

      While we will be sad to see you leave, contact us and we will be happy to send you an export of your data. Once you have cancelled your account, your data will be securely purged from our systems. We do not retain or otherwise try to use your center’s data at any time.

  • Q:

    What happens if I forget my password?

    • A:

      On the login screen, click on “Forgot Password”. To ensure your security, we will send a temporary code to the cell phone listed on your user account. Use this code to regain access to SkyChildCare. The use of something you know (your password) and something physical you own (your cell phone) is called “two factor” in tech lingo. In simple English, it means that we ensure that only the authorized person is allowed into your center’s account, even if your email account has been compromised.
