    What is a program?

      Programs are groups of classes used to organize your center. You can add programs based on what types of care your center offers, ages of children or any other way your classes are grouped. You may only need one program, while other centers might use ten.

    How do I add a program?

    • A:

      Simply follow the steps below:

      Start by clicking Classes in the left hand pane.

      Click Add Program near the top of the page.

      Enter a name for the program in the textbox and click the Create link.

      SkyChildCare creates the new program and is ready for you to add classes.

  • Q:

    How many classes or programs can I manage in SkyChildCare?

    • A:

      We don’t set limits on how many classes or programs you can manage in SkyChildCare. You can add as many classes or programs as your center needs.

    How do I add a class?

    • A:

      Simply follow the steps below:

      Start by clicking on Classes in the left hand pane.

      Scroll to the Program associated with the class you want to add.

      Click the Add class link.

      Enter a name for the class in the textbox and click the Create link.

      SkyChildCare adds the new class to the program.

      Click the class name to add the information for the new class.

      When you add the class rate, you can then start adding staff, children, or events to the class.

    Can I edit classes?

      Yes, you can always change the information for a class. Click on the class name to show the details and edit as needed.

  • Q:

    How do I edit the class capacity?

    • A:

      Simply follow the steps below:

      Click the class name.

      Click Edit Class.

      Enter the new Capacity in the field.

  • Q:

    How can I change a class rate?

    • A:

      Simply follow the steps below:

      Click the class name.

      Click Rates.

      You can edit the current rate by clicking in the appropriate fields for the rate.

    How can I view a class roster?

    • A:

      Simply follow the steps below:

      Start by clicking on Classes in the left hand pane.

      Click the class name.

      The Roster displays by default.

    How can I see the staff for each class?

    • A:

      Simply follow the steps below:

      Start by clicking on Classes in the left hand pane.

      Click the class name.

      The Roster displays by default.

      Click the Staff link to view the scheduled staff for the class.

    How does Sky Childcare check that I have staff scheduled during class times?

    • A:

      It does not automatically check for coverage, but this is on our list of features to add.

  • Q:

    Can I add events for classes like field trips?

    • A:

      Not currently at this time.

  • Q:

    What are class reminders?

    • A:

      Class reminders are used to show when a student is too old for a class.

  • Q:

    How do I view class attendance?

    • A:

      Simply follow the steps below:

      You can view class attendance by clicking Print Attendance reports near the top of the page.

      The attendance report displays.

      Select your week from the top right corner to see weekly attendance for each class.
